The
Ordinary Special of the month!
Being
nice does not always pay off! - written & posted by tim i

We
always keep reminding ourselves that we have
to treat others well if we want to be treated well by others and most
of the
cases it seems appropriate and also true. However, unfortunately that
is not
always the reality in our society or at least for my case. Most of my
relatives
do not fancy me of their own as I was not able to always fulfill their
demands.
I was even verbally abused while trying to help a granny in needs and
from that
day on, I would not even dare to talk with any of my neighbors in our
housing
estate. Holding the door on the main gate or on the lift for the
arriving users
is absolutely a big NO. The first priority has to be always you,
nothing else!
Most
of my friends are business associated
and we all know that it will also end when our business will end in the
future.
Especially an outsider like me, who lives in a foreign country, it is
very hard
to find some good old friends. It is simply not possible to find
someone like
that and just say, I know him since our childhood and we grew up
together! It
is simply not possible!
It
is even much harder in business. The envious
& suspicious thought of the other party making more money than you
is
always present on the back of the mind. Therefore, no matter how you
try to be
nice and be reasonable to your associates, the mistrust & suspicion
will
always be there. And it is main reason why most of the business
associations
fail very easily.
When
you are in a society where money tops
people’s priority list, everything else will have lesser value. That
includes
being nice to others in your society. It might make you feel better but
unfortunately being nice does not always pay off for sure. If you are
still not
convinced, why don’t you just have a try? But do not get disappointed
as you
are already warned here!
