The Ordinary Special of the month!

It can be a good time for pursuing your dreams- written & posted by tim i gurung July 2009

The gloom and doom of the financial crisis is almost everywhere around the world. The laying off, closing down, losing jobs, grim economic outlook, hardship and survival etc. these are all the familiar signs and symbols of the economic downturn. In fact, it is probably the hardest time of all of the modern days. The worst part is there is still not yet any light seen at the end of the tunnel.

With low esteem, hope and being pretty down at such situation is normal and understandable, however, it is not all end and gone. May be it is the right time for re-thinking and re-arranging about your way of the life. It is the ideal time for doing some catch up and rekindle your unfulfilled dreams. There must be one or few things that you genuinely wanted to do but were not able to do for lack of time or some other reasons. This might be the right time for pursuing your dreams again.

If you have a hobby or ability to write, you can start writing again as exactly what I did since the beginning of the year. My business is down by almost half this year, so, a half day was enough for me to work on it. The other half day was kind of free time and a workaholic like me it was almost unthinkable to just stay in the office doing nothing. Therefore, I decided to start writing again as I used to do when I was at my twenties. You can write about almost anything such as article, story, book, cooking, travel, experience, education, religion, hobbies, business, finance or even about your own. There is simply no limitation in imagination. It can be almost about anything.

Other hobbies or dreams like further advancing the study, reading books, learning how to cook or make dresses, learning to drive or taking dancing lesson, upgrade computer skills or even visit the places that you have always dreamt of visiting in lifetime, also visiting relatives and helping charity works, raise children or taking care of elderly parents, learn how to take care of pets or eco-friendly tips, open a greenhouse and grow your favorite vegetables or fruits, learn how to make handicraft or gift items and also social skills, open a ice cream parlor or café or boutique, learn how to hike or mountaineering, go to gym or club, and even a much needed rest. You just have to go for it and anything that will make you happy and satisfied will be all worth while.

Most importantly, you just have to know what you want to do most and finding it is also not that much harder either as we all have dreams that have not been fulfilled yet for one reason or another. And it can be a good time just for that!
